Code Of Ethics
The Board has adopted the Sandwich High School Football Coaching Philosophy and Play Book as the standard for Sandwich Youth Tackle Football. As a coach, you will positively implement these resources at all stages of player development!
* All coaches will be subject to a background check.
* The Coach shall make football/cheerleading fun!!!
* The Coach shall avoid the use of alcohol and tobacco products when in contact with players/cheerleaders.
* The Coach shall place the emotional and physical well being of their players/cheerleaders ahead of their personal desires to win.
* The Coach shall remember that they are youth sports coaches, and the game is for children not adults.
* The Coach shall lead by example in demonstrating fair play and good sportsmanship to all the players/cheerleaders.
* The Coach shall not coach his or her child to the detriment of others.
* The Coach shall focus his or her efforts on the continuous improvement of all players/cheerleaders regardless of ability level.
* The Coach shall respect and support contest officials. The Coach shall not indulge in conduct which would incite players or spectators against the officials. Public criticism towards players, cheerleaders, or officals is unethical. Only the head coach or coach on the field( S.L. and L.W. levels ) shall have the ability to converse with the officials.
Failure to follow any of these rules set forth by the SYTF Board will result in immediate removal of all coaching privileges!
